Hasegawa 1/48 F-15C model, straight from the box with decals from TwoBobs
Nothing fancy on the building except lowering the air intakes, and flaps and placing the gear at mid retraction. The idea was to display the aircraft just after the take-off in a vertical climb.
I chosed not to make serial 963 because everybody does that jet. 930 was easier because it didn't have the mouth and doesn't sport the J/APQ-1 on the back of the tails. Thanks to Mike Grant for printing the extra serials.
I also decided to add a touch of colour with an orange flight suit the japanese pilot fancy.
The model is displayed in an airshow configuration with just a centerline tank on two metal rods coming out of the nozzles attached to a black painted wood base.
The model was completed in January 2007.
